In which he has won an Emmy, a Golden Globe and received a Critics Choice nomination for Supporting Actor, based on his stand-out performance as the power hungry 'Tom', who simultaneously entertains you, as he does chill you. Matthew began his extraordinarily successful and varied career with the renowned theatre company 'Cheek By Jowl', before taking on the enigmatically compelling Mr Darcy in Joe Wright's 'Pride and Prejudice'. His TV credits include long standing BBC 19th Century drama series; 'Ripper Street', as well as Henry Wilcox in the BBC's lavishly beautiful and critically acclaimed 'Howards End', co-starring with Hayley Atwell.
