This latest Scottish TV thriller, written by Nicole Taylor, who wrote hit country music feature Wild Rose, follows the story of rich young couple who find their lives turned upside down by paying a teenager with a troubled background to have a baby for them. 

Shirley plays the role of Siobhan, mother to the teenager protagonist, and described her character to The Edinburgh News as "haunted by things that have gone on in her past."
